Stu's Outdoor Kitchen
This outdoor kitchen was built for a wonderful client with the help a general contractor who built the skeleton. I was tasked with skinning the structure with tile backer, waterproofing the substrate, then installing tile, edge trim and grouting.

Handmade & Terrazo
This was the third bathroom remodel completed for these clients, and the funnest one to date. The walls were done with two colors of classy handmade look-alike 5” ceramic and for the floor they chose a custom made-to-order terrazo tile. Many unique details in this bathroom renovation.

Two showers, One Tub Surround
Large format tile was use in each space to help minimize the amount of grout lines. Careful planning to match textures between tiles was taken in each space.

Curbless Entry Shower
This was an addition to the existing home which included a new master bedroom, two closets and an oversized shower to help the client move more easily into and out of the bathroom. Several nice details we utilized in the shower space.

Floating Glass & Curbless Shower
The glass partition in this shower was installed using a metal channel that was mortared beneath and behind the tile to give the appearance of glass protruding from the tile. Installing glass in this manner means there is no hardware on the wall or floor and no chance of water damage later.

Outdoor Shower
The nearly required 1800 pounds of river rocks to build this wall for an outdoor shower. Each stone was mortared on after confirming it rested naturally on the row below. The shower pan was filled with tumbled agates of various colors.

Subway Tub Surround
The highlight of this subway tiled tub surround was the decorative tile used for flooring was also used in the window and niche to add another element to the space without introducing something different. Due to size constraints the room now doubles as the laundry room as well as bathroom.

Here are several niches done over the course of a couple years and showcased here to show some examples of what can be accomplished to maximize space in a wet room. Not all niches have to be be in a shower.

Shower Pans
Highlighting various types of shower pan installations is important. Many people enjoy the massage like feel of pebbles or natural stone under their feet. Each installation requires special attention to detail to minimize sheet lines and also to maximize water drainage.
